HELLO, I have a top loading GE washing machine - model # WHDRR418EWW.
The agitator is very loose and wobbles when you grab it. I'm assuming that the nut that holds the agitator to the shaft came loose. I pulled and removed the top dispenser cap on the agitator - looking down into the agitator I was hoping to see the nut. Instead there is a round translucent plastic cover that has an X on it. How do I remove it ? Thanks,

Thank you, I did a quick hard jerk on the agitator - bingo it came off. The coupler underneath the agitator looked fine. I did notice that the fingers on the bottom of the agitator were spread out, causing a loose fit on the coupler. I went ahead and ordered the coupler & the agitator - $35.00 - not to bad.
