The dryer is not heating up at all, Should I change the heating unit? And how difficult is it to change?

JM, Before you change anything, Did you check the breakers in the panel, and make sure they're both locked in place . Check and make sure you have 240 Volts AC, at the outlet and dryer terminal block. Starting at the heater element, it is a relatively easy repair, once you remove the front panel and disconnect the wires, it's just a matter of removing the mounting screws, and sliding the elemnt assembly out. At that point , you would want to visually inspect the element for any breaks in the element. if you have no visible breaks, you can also use your fingers and feel, if the element is broken inside the porcelain insulators. If the element is OK, you need to move on to the thermostats and wiring, to determine which has failed. Getting your hands on a multi meter, will save you a lot of time and money on parts. Good Luck, :) :) :)
