My dryer control locked is on. I have tried depressing the end of cycle button, cut power to the unit for several hours, and it will not reset. Any suggestions from here?

I have a "control locked" problem too. I was advised to replace the touch pad console, which is the front face panel with the green and red buttons. It's $200 with shipping. I followed the manuel on how to swap it out. However, the problem didn't correct. Now do I go to the other electronics board on the left side?
