Hello,

My dishwasher will fill with water but instead of water spraying around inside, it will just hum. Can someone help me with what could be wrong and if I will need a new part(s)? It's about 5 yrs. old and hasn't been used too often.

Thanks!

Can you check underneath for any kids of water leakage around the pump & motor?

I didn't see any water on the floor around the motor and pump when I pulled the bottom panel off. I can pull the dishwasher from the counter for a better look but I'm pretty sure it's dry underneath. Anything else I can look for? Thanks for helping.

Look for any calcium buildup down the side of the pump or motor. also look for rust on the motor.

Most likely it is a stuck seal. They make a seal kit for these. On ge brand dishwashers when this happens, we just turn the motor till it breaks free, and it will work just fine, not to sure if it's the same for your washer.

Try to turn the motor by sticking a screwdriver in the end of the motor. If jammed, you will need to clean out the pump.
Unfortunately, for this dishwasher, you will need to pull out the dishwasher, remove the large rubber pump output hose and check for things jamming the pump.
