Hi People,

Washer leaks bad, and looks like the drain pump leaking from the very center, where it slides over the motor shaft. First, what part # do you have to match this/ Then, could there be a reason why the shaft "coupling"/center is so contorted/disfigured/heat damaged?

Thanks!!

Piposos,

That pump assembly is a single unit(complete).

Part number: AP2907492
Part number: AP2907492

As for the motor / drive coupling,

Part number: AP3963893
Part number: AP3963893

Being distorted and disclored, that is usually due to a constant overloaded (too much clothes)situation and/or age / usage.

My reccomendation, would be to replace both parts, and review the user's manual as far as proper loading and load sizes.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)

Thanks, Joe M! I will plan on getting both. Only thing I dont understand is even if a washer has too much weight in clothes in it, why would that affect the pump which only pumps out water?

Thanks!!

Piposos,

Overloading the washer doesn't have a large affect on the pump.

I must have mis understood you,

The distortion and discoloration on the coupler assembly would apply to the drive coupler, between the motor and transmission,

Or are you discussing a different component ?

Yes, Drain pump leaking at the very center, as I explained in my 1st post. No problem, though. I still appreciate your replies. I definitely need a new pump as at the center of it, where it goes over the shaft of the motor, it is lkeaking AND it appears all manglerd up, like the shaft got too hot and melted the pump at that contact point. I dont think we will be needing the other part, right?

Thanks, Joe M.

Piposos,

Yes, there may be some minor problems with web page,

We are doing several changes and updates to our system.

OK, I did mis understand you, then.

The discoloration, etc. would be due the the drain pump leaking, nothing to worry about, get the new pump, clean up the shaft area, and you'll be fine.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)
