My Estate Whirlpool dryer stopped heating. Everything else is working, just no heat. Model#MEDS680DQ0 What needs to be done?

First, check the electrical outlet. You should get 120VAC from both hot legs to the ground or neutral; and 240VAC between both the hot legs. If you don't get this, try flipping the breaker (not fast, but deliberately) off and on a couple times.

If the breaker and outlet seem OK, do the check at the terminal block where the cord connects to the dryer. 120 VAC between red and green (or white), 120VAC between black and green (or white); 240VAC between red and black.

If all this is OK, you probably have an open (bad) thermostat or heating element.
