The washer just totally stopped working. I had just washed a load of clothes and put them in the dryer. I went to put another load in and the water would not turn on. I did not smell anything, the timer moves around fine, I selected the cycle and pulled the knob, and nothing. It's like I can hear the timer trying to work, but nothing happens. I moved the timer around, and it would not fill on a rinse cycle, or a delicate cycle, it doesn't do anything.
How can I fix this? I have already had this washer fixed like 4 times for other reasons, but I cannot afford to get it serviced again, and also can't afford to buy a new washer right now (and I have dirty clothes piling up!!!). Any insight into this will be very greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Change your water temp first. If it works then it's the valve. If not it could be a number of problems. Check your water valve on the back it may have clogged up, or you may need a new one Whirlpool part number is 285805 (AP# AP3094541). If in doubt go to a recycling center to see if they have any Whirlpool washer setting around and talk them out of a couple of water valves ;o) Hope that helps Nat
