After my daughter heated soup on the cooktop today, it would not ignite again. I realized it shorted my ground fault breaker. I did check the plug in to make sure it wasn't a problem with that. If I plug it in it just blows the breaker again. I unplugged the cooktop and unhooked it from gas. How do I disassemble the top from the burner box? Any thoughts on what is causing this problem? Thanks in advance for any help.

We fixed this by taking cooktop apart. Ignitor had gotten turned and was touching metal bracket, causing the whole thing to short out. I'll answer my own question. To take top off unscrew nut on each burner and the burner will come out. Glass top is held down with a heat tape and can be pulled up.
