I've got a Maytag side by side refrigerator/freezer, model # MSD2652KGB. I am having problems with the icemaker. Basically there is no water going through the line that goes into the icemaker at the back of the refrigerator.

I have water at the supply where the refrigerator hooks in. I have water at the door on the refrigerator. The line(s) appear to run from the initial hook-up, to the filter, back down to what I assume is the (dual) water inlet valve, and then to the icemaker.

The refrigerator is approx. 4 years old and I have never changed the filter, could this be the problem? even though I still have water at the door. Also, I have read about issues with the inlet valve. Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

I need to somewhat amend my first post, it appears I have water in the line going up to the icemaker about 3/4 of the way. (It's dark and I didn't notice it before). Line is not frozen and the tube going into the icemaker is clear. Still the filter or possibly something else? Thanks again

Four years is much too long. Replace the filter.
