NEWBIE-Gas Dryer ignites but does not stay hot

Kinda new at this so please bear with me....
I have a Whirlpool gas dryer that ignites (I can see the glow and then the flame start) at the start of a cycle. The dryer does heat up and starts to dry the clothes just fine. The issue is that about 5-10 minutes later the flame goes out.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Check the dryer vent and blower housing to make sure they are free of lint.
The next most common problem would be the coils on the gas valve getting hot and cutting out.
Replacing the coils is a easy and cheap repair that a lot of people can do themselves.

Thanks! I will check those things....
I know I should unplug the dryer before I work on it but do I have to disconnect the gas line too?
