My washer wasn't spinning. I tilted it back and found the belt to be extremely loose. I notice the motor has two studs that go through slotted holes appearing to be where I can increase the tension. Sounds easy, however when I try to tighten the small nut at the bottom of those studs, they seem to tighten but I can still move the motor. Am i even in the right vicinity? I am not sure where to go from here. Also I am not sure how to remove the front panel. If i need to remove it, can you please instruct on that as well.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Removing the front panel- use a putty knife in groove on the front about 2 inches in from each side is a spring clip. push in on those to relsease them then slide the top forward a little to raise the top, the front panel should just pull out.

Those 2 bolts you don't need to mess with the motor is supposed to slide if you notice on the motor base there's a grove for movement.

If you look at the part breakdown on this sight you will see a spring near the motor (part #1) on the breakdown, look to see if that spring is broken, damaged or gone.
And you might want to replace the belt as it might have stretched.
hope that helps
