I have an Admiral Designer Series 20# that makes a PINGing noise throughout the entire drying cycle. I vacuumed and cleaned inside the blower and have ordered a replacement blower wheel since it looks as though it' pretty worn. I'm not confident that's the answer to the problem though.
The PINGing sounds like worn bearings. Do you think the rollers need to be replaced?
and if so, how many are there on this unit? any suggestions of HOW to replace them? Is this task a moderately handy DIY could tackle?
Thanks ahead of time for any assistance.

You might have a shorted heating element. Go to Appliance Parts Pros.com Discount Appliance Parts – Appliance Repair Parts for take apart info. Take dryer apart and remove heater to check.
