We have Maytag Stack Washer and Dryer (LSG7806AAE) . The Washer will not start and don't know why. I pull out the "start" button, but nothing! Yes, the lid IS closed to be sure that "cut-off switch" is in place..

After reading here another's similar problem, I guess I will have to open the control panel between the top dryer & the washer and then look for a fuse...
you say one.. or maybe two of them... then how will I know which one is bad?

If I get that far, I will take them both to get them replaced. Will that do it? If not, does anyone have some advice.. Could it be a major replacement?
The dryer is working just fine, it is just the washer pull-out that won't start.

Or should I just call a Maytag repair if this gets more complicated?

When you set the washer timer and pull out the knob, can you hear the faint noise of the timer running? Is it the same for all chosen cycles?

YES, THERE IS NO RESPONSE IN ANY CYCLE. JUST DEAD ALL AROUND.
MAYBE IT IS ONE OF THE TWO FUSES MENTIONED. TOMORROW I WILL BUY AND REPLACE THEM TO SEE IF THAT WILL FIX IT... I HOPE & WILL LET YOU KNOW...THANKS!

LSG7806AAE Washer combo Lid switch replaced

I myself replaced the one easy fuse, and it worked for one day.
then it would fill, but stopped without agitating.

I had to call the Maytag service; they dissembled the front and took off the whole top in order to replace the complete 'lid-switch-assembly.'

I wish I were more mechanically inclined to test and replace that all by myself. Maybe NEXT time I might try. Thanks for you solid advice, Eric!

I wished your response did not take all 30 days to arrive, sorry.
