My Hotpoint Washer is not turning on and is tripping the breakers. I removed the timer and opened it up and found some black scorch marks on some of the switch areas. I have ordered a new timer do you think this will fix the problem?

Very possible it will but you can see it only after you'll replace the timer.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Hotpoint washer Model VBXR1060V1WW
