A couple of nights ago I woke up to find all my freezer foods thawed out and my refrigerator foods warm. The fans are running and blowing air but its warm air. The compressor doesn't sound or feel like it is running. I thought it might be the defrost timer stuck so I turned the timer and the fans shut off and continued to turn timer and the fans came back on. Next I used a tester and pulled the PTC off of the compressor and I am not getting any voltage reading from any of the 3 holes on the compressor side of the PTC/starter. Would the run capacitor cause this? Or is the starter/PTC bad? It all worked great and was always cold before. Please help:confused:

It could be either or both. The easiest way is to use a universal 3 in one, which if it works will keep you going until you can get the OEM parts.
