I have a Maytag Performa PDB3600 that suddenly stopped working after the last full load we ran. There is adequate power to the unit; the timer runs, and when you set it to a delayed cycle, the Delay Light is lit on the front panel. Other than that, everything is dead. The motor does not run, the dishwasher does not fill. I have already checked the door switches and both are okay (I suppose the timer would not run if they weren't). Looking at the schematic, I would think that even if the motor was bad, the dishwasher would still fill because the water valve is on its own cam on the timer, right?
Any thoughts on what this could be?

Here are your parts includes a wiring diagram Replacement parts for PDB3600 models | AppliancePartsPros.comI would think that even if the motor was bad, the dishwasher would still fill because the water valve is on its own cam on the timer, right? I would agree with you. My guess would be that it is a timer problem. Perhaps for some reason the timer cam is not turning. |
