Please help....my old Imperial 70 has started making a clunk and bang sound only during the wash cycle...it spins, drains, switches gears, etc. just perfectly but this new noise sounds like something is slipping then clanging on every turn of the agitator. Thanks!

It sounds like your transmission is not working properly. That type a transmission a costly repair in my opinion.

Thanks....of course, that is what I was afraid of. Somehow my appliances know when I get a few buck ahead!
