heya my kenmore dryer no heat. i replaced element. i also took the fuse at the top to a repair shop and they said it was still good. they told me the only other solution would be to replace the timer..does that sound like a true statemet?

David,
Make sure there is 240 VAC at the dryer outlet. The heating element needs 240 VAC while the motor needs only 120 VAC. If one of the two breakers for the dryer is off or is not working properly, the dryer will tumble with no heat.

Gene. i have power to outlet, i even have 240 at the thermostat but still no heat. is it possible to bypass the timer to see if the new heater is working. there is an orange wire from the timer to the thermostat is that supposed to have power? thanks for any help

You have to check for continuity the thermal cut-off, the high limit thermostat and the operating thermostat (#1, #34 & #42 on the diagram).
