The evaporator and heater were replaced as was the brain or control panel. The damper is working properly. The refrigerator is aparently reporting an incorrect temperature ( the correct temp is not displayed on the electronic selector pad ) and closing the damper prematurely. If I bypass the damper it cools great. This temp reporting issue started when the repair man replaced the control brain. It was recording properly prior to the brain being replaced. The thing is under warranty and I am getting a new one but would like to put this one in the garage and fix it because mechanicly it is fine. Any ideas out there?

Did you happen to save the board with the instruction sheet. There is a wire that needs to be cut on some models, and I believe your is one of those models. I will post the instructions for you so you can check.

Go to the back where the board is, remove the cover, and look at the 9pin connector at the top right, known as the J-1 connector. Now pin 1 is gonna be the 1st on the left and 9 is the last on the right of that plastic connector. Is there a white wire going to pin1 and 2?

yes there is. a white wire is connected to pin 1,2,3 and 4. Pin five has a brown wire as does pin 9. There are no other wires connected on that connector. The board was replaced about ten days ago.

Perfect, we'll get this running for you. The wire that goes into pin 2, cut it. The way the new board is, with the wire in pin 2 it does not allow the damper door to open, basically keeps it closed. So cut the wire in pin 2 ONLY! When you get that done let me know, we have one more step I will walk you through.

ok, now take off the bottom access cover where the compressor is, and locate the power cord connection on the left side. Black white and green wires. At ythat connection, is there a device in a clear plastic housing zip tied to that power cord?

If there is, cut the green wire at the plastic connector that connects to the cabinet. If there is not a device zip tied in a clear plastic housing don't cut the green wire, and you are done.
