If the dryer motor is locked up, be it wrong tension, belt placement or blower wheel and the motor stops making any noise at all, does that mean the motor is toast? If the motor is not toast and I correct the problem will the motor start up again?

Could you please explain what happens.
Not sure what locked up means?
Have you tried turning the drum in the correct direction by hand just to be sure it is not jammed?

There are several external things that can stop a motor from running (thermal fuse, bad power,start switch,door switch etc.. |

Press on it, and see if you hear a click. If so, it is probably good. Then pull the dryer out and unplug it. Take the big back cover off, and you will see, a white piece, about an inch and a half long, by a half inch wide. That is the thermal fuse. Pull the 2 wires off, and then stick the terminal ends of the wires together, and put some tape around it to keep them together, and so the metal terminal ends don't hit metal, and then plug the dryer in and see if it works. If so, DO NOT RUN the dryer like that. This is for testing reasons only. That is a saftey part, so the dryer does not burn down the house. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

The blower wheel is freely turning and I checked the fuse with the wires off. Should I still try and jump the wires even though I checked the fuse with a meter?
