I would like step by step instructions on how to remove the dial from my my old timer. :) The instructions on the old and new timers do not make sense to me.
The timer part no. is AP3020033 (3952662).
Thank you,
Tom C

Hi Tom, To remove the timer knob, push the knob in from the front. At the back of the timer, pull the tab out approximately 3/16", then pull the timer knob off the shaft. Slide the timer dial from the timer hub. Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool washer Model LSR8233EQ1Gene.

Gene, Thank you very much. After doing what you said to my new timer I realized that I needed to use my needle nose plyers to pull the shaft back far enough to release the knob. From there on it went smoothly. I got everything lined up and she's running like a top. Good job, Tom

Gene, Thanks for your suggestion, but I changed that coupler drive a few years back because the tub would not spin. This time there is no black rubber collecting underneath the washer and the tub spins okay, just makes that loud rythmic whine as it spins, and a loud bang at the beginning or end of the spin cycle. Any other suggestions?
