We have a Thermador TMH45A-1 (old) electric cooktop and the right rear (small) burner goes instant glowing red hot on ANY setting. On another similar oven, the tech switched out the shorted-out "switch" (part the element plugs into) but I see no similarly named part on diagram.
Any help with the name of the part or part number for this particular model? Possibly the "Terminal Block Assembly" on wiring diagram?
Thanks to anyone for your help.

Most likely the problem is a shorted out infinite switch for this burner. - The part number for the infinite switch is AP2836679 Here are the break down diagrams for the Thermador cooktop Model TMH45A-1Gene.

Thank you Gene...I will try that part first. If that doesn't work, think the terminal block assembly would be the next step? Appreciate your time.

I do not think the receptacle (terminal) block has something to do with this problem.
Gene.
