Have KitchenAid KGRT607HBS6 range. Get frequent F2:E3 error. After pressing cancel a few times it clears and range seems to operate properly. In a few hours error returns. Does anyone know what this error means? Can't seem to find it in my research.
Thanks!

Rich,

Disassemble the control panel. Unplug the key panel ribbon cable from the control board and clean the edge connector. You can use a pencil eraser. Would not hurt to clean the connector on the board using an electronics contact cleaner or an isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush. Make sure everything is dry before reconnecting.

Assemble it back and give it a try.

If the problem is still exist, replace the control panel. If you need the correct part number, post the color of the control panel.

Hi Gene,

Thank you for the reply. Control panel is black. I assume when you say to replace the control panel you mean the micro computer AP3137864 and not the membrane and console assembly?

CHEERS!

Finally received back ordered consule as recommended. Installed yesterday and same problem occurs? F2E3 and F2E0 errors? Should I try another part? Can I return consule (panel control)?

The "F2-E0" error code means "Keypad disconnected".

Double check the console installation, especially how good is the connection between the ribbon cables and the control board.

Connection looks good. Now I only get F2E3 error. Oven won't work. Could it be the oven temperature sensor?

Rich,

Do the following:

Unplug the range for a few minutes.

Plug the unit back, set power “ON” and wait until “CONTROL LOCK” clears and display shows “PF” (this will take approx. 10 seconds). Within one minute perform the following steps in the sequence indicated:

1. Press CONVECTION BROIL.
2. Press CLEAN.
3. Press BAKED GOODS.
4. Press STOP TIME.
5. Press 1.
6. Press 9.
7. Press TIMER SET-START.
The clock display will show “6AS” and one of the
following:
- “hb-FS”, for Hidden Bake Free Standing units,
- “Eb-FS”, for Exposed Bake Free Standing units,
- “hb-SI”, for Hidden Bake Slide In units, and
- “Eb-SI”, for Exposed Bake Slide In units.
8. Next, in order to confirm proper function for each feature, keep pressing START until control scrolled through all features.

Post the results.

Gene.

Hi Gene,
I shut off power for a few minutes and turned power back on. There is not power "on" button on my console. Control lock appears as soon as I power up range. When PF appears I pressed 1. CB, 2. clean, 3.baked goods..... baked good button does not work? This is a new touch pad consule so it should work. When I press 4. stop time nothing happens, when I press step 5 1it works as does step 6 9 and step 7 timer set. Of course 6AS never appears. One other note, when I press bake and start? appears nothing happens when I press start i.e. oven doesn't start.

Rich,

It's hard to believe but it sounds like the new console is defective. It has to be exchanged under the parts warranty. Call the APP customer service.

The part is good in stock, so it would not take such long time to get it. Run the same procedure after you will finish the installation.
