My maytag washer will fill, but then just sits there with a full tub of water and does not spin/agitate/ or drain.
I did an ohm test across the "lid switch" and it seems fine. I tried to test the "check switch" and seemed to get some funky readings. Could the "check switch" be causing my problems??
I should also say that the belts looks fine, (the pump shaft, motor shaft, and drive shaft all move freely, and there is nothing obstructing the inner tub and outer tub from moving freely either.
Also, I think my problem is electrical (switch, etc) since my motor does not run
I appreciate any help, Thanks.
Adam

Hi Adam, Yes, if the "check switch" is bad then the washer would not work properly. Also you have to check the fuse in the lid switch assembly. Here are the break down diagrams and the wiring diagram for the Maytag laundry center Model LSE7806ACEGene.

Gene,
I shook the check switch around and got the little orange button to pop out allowing the circuit to be complete (as indicated on the ohm meter) and gave the washer a test run and it worked, so looks like this will be a nice 8 dollar fix.
Thanks for the response,
-Adam

What it will do if you set the water temperature on cold/cold?

Sorry, my previous question was not very clear. I need you to try wash cycle with the water temperature set on cold/cold.
