My Kitchen Aid gas oven suddenly stopped heating on the bake cycle. The burners and broil cycle all work fine. What should I check first?

Check to see if the bake igniter is glowing when you select "BAKE".

Usually, you have to remove the bottom plate inside the oven to expose the bake element or igniter and burner. They'rre often held in place with one or two screws.

If you can do electrical testing, test the bake igniter for 120VAC while in a "BAKE" cycle. If you have the voltage there, but no glow, replace the igniter. Part number: AP2994573

Is there something else that I need to check?

If the broil igniter glows during "Preheat", but the gas doesn't ignite, replace the broil igniter. I would also check the resistance of the oven sensor. That's the probe in the back of the oven chamber. The connector for it can be accessed by pulling the oven out from against the wall and removing the back panel.
