I recently purchased a replacement Infinite Switch for my Kitchen Aid stove. The switch is for the RR burner and is to have dual element capability, can operate as a single or dual eleement depending on use of the control knob. The manufacturer part number was 9751758 the replacement part number as given to me by Kitchen Aid is 8203536. I installed the part and the element only works as a dual, does not light up the signle element function. Is this a faulty part or is there another type of switch need to get both the single and dual functionallity? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Gene. Am I correct in assumming this switch should work as either a single or dual element? Since I have already connected the wires to the new switch, do you know were I can find a diagram that will show me the wire connection mapping from the RF to RR switch. The RF is were the existing wires start which connect to the new switch terminal. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks....

Switches for a single and a dual elements are different and not interchangeable. The only diagram I found on-line is the wiring diagram. Gene.

Hello Gene,
I'm replacing the older version of the switch for a 8203536. Can you tell what should originally be (colors) on 1,2,3,4,5,6? I misplaced the wires when putting back the old swich
Thanks,
