I am trying to replace the door latch mechanism and the outer door panel on a Maytag MDB9150AWW dishwasher. I have removed all of the screws from the inside of the door, but the inner door panel will not come off. There seems to be something holding it secure in the area of the detergent and rinse aid dispenser. How do I free the inner door panel? Must I remove the detergent dispenser first? But how? There are no visible screws holding it in place.

Looks like there are the tree screws on each side of the outer door panel. Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag dishwasher Model MDB9150AWWGene.

There are no visible screws holding it in place. I'm having the EXACT issue with my dishwasher door, however it's a Whirlpool model DU940QWDQ3. I'm trying to replace the detergent dispenser latch & can't get the door apart. I was hoping to track down some sort of diagram like the one posted above.. that'd be wonderful. OR - does someone know how to get the door panel off? I'm afraid if I keep pulling I'm going to break it. Is there something else keeping it together other than the screws? Bah. HELP!!

There could be a screw holding the inner door panel. Pull out the retainer (#20 on the break down diagram) and remove the door panel and the sound absorber. Check for a screw under the control panel. Also you probably can now replace the soap dispenser latch. Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dishwasher Model DU940QWDQ3Gene.
