We have a Whirlpool side by side with a man. date of 9-00. It recently began not cooling (thawed all our meat out :( ) I hear the compressor clicking etc. It did get cold and freeze after I cleaned the condenser lines under the unit. Please help! smbenningfield@gmail.com

Pulled starter relay, shook it around, it's def. rattling like crazy inside, which from what i read of course means it's shot.
the part numbers I have on it are as follows
4SP1023 2188506 31 R00R
I read that a 4Sp1023 is a klixon and is fairly common?

Here is what comes up using your 2188506 number. Part number: AP3873993
Your model number does not look correct for a Whirlpool. The part page does have a listing of units that it is used on. You can scroll through these models. The closest number to yours that I found was an ED25LFXHW02 |

Thank you very much. Before I order would it help if I took a picture and uploaded it of my actual relay? I have it off and in my posession of course. I'd not want to order something that doesnt work. I myself cant find that actual model number anywhere either. That puzzles me greatly

If you search AppliancePartsPros parts website with your new number, it comes up with the part I showed earlier. |

Ok I replaced the starter relay about 20 minutes ago per the instructions and via the pics I took of the assembly before I took everything apart. Plugged it in, nothing out of the ordinary sound wise etc. Whats my time frame to be looking for compressor wise kicking, and for the unit to start cooling? Fans on also btw. Thanks
