washer agitates just fine, drains fine.doesnt spin although you can hear motor running. if you stop the washer then turn it on again, spin seems to kick in but is erratic. any ideas?

Most likely the problem is a bad timer.

- The part number for the timer is AP3721800

fourjaxson,

You can probably do it if there is a wiring diagram and/or schematic.

randallonyx,

Can you be more specific on the problem? What is the complete model number of the washer?

I got whirlpool washer timer this morning and installed and run the machine. I found some problem like water in and agitate is working ok but not spin and not drain. At this spot timer stops completely and not run(no click sound and knob is not moving). Timer is brand new from you guys.
I need your help.

Most likely the problem is a bad lid switch (#11 on the break down diagram).

- New lid switch and step by step instructions on how to replace the lid switch: Part number: AP3100003
Part number: AP3100003

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool washer Model LSQ8243HZ0
