I have the f2 error code and the oven temperature is lower by several hundred degrees than the broil temperature or oven temperature setting before the oven shuts off with the f2 error code. If i reset the oven by cycling the power the oven works for a while at a low temperature then shuts off with the f2 code. It shuts off faster when trying to broil. The resistance measurement on the oven sensor was within the specs so i replaced the clock but no change in the f2 code. Any ideas? Should I replace the oven sensor any way or is it possible i got a defective clock or could it be something else?

At the back of the oven the sensor wire connects to the erc wireing via a plug, cut out that plug, and hard wire the ends together, frequently that plugs connection is not tight enough, and will result in F2, if that does not fix it, replace the sensor.

well if the oven sensor resistance is measured at around 1000 ohms at the erc
wouldn't this indicate the wiring was okay and not need to be hardwired at the plug at the back of the oven?

No, the heat from the oven can change the values at the plug. Starting with the free and easy things to try is always better than throwing money at it hoping it will work.
