I have a new townhome with a 4 prong outlet. My neptune dryer has a 3 prong. I purchased the right cord, but now need to hhok it up. the dryer terminal has a black terminal, a white terminal and a third terminal with two blue wires on it. My 4 prong cord has a blk, wht , red and green wires. Where do they go??I have already blown one circiut board and have ordered a new one from you guys, please help.

White goes into the middle red goes on one end and black goes on the other end. Green is ground and goes to a green screw.top removal.jpg

what if there is no visible green ground screw on the unit? can I leave it off?

NO ..The dryer should be grounded.If there no holes in metal close to the block[hook up] then drill one in the metal close to where you hooked up the other wires in the block.[dryers back panel]Then use a self- threading screw and tighten the screw to the green wire.If there is paint under that screw remove the paint for a good ground.

That green wire goes anywhere on the chassis(body) of the dryer. You really need this to be connected to the dryer. You could use one of those screws that hold the terminal block or just get a screw and make a hole.

What exactly are you trying to do?
How is the dryer wired up currently?
What does the terminal block in the unit look like (4 connector, 3 connector etc.)

please help me! I know blk on left white in middle red on the right side of terminal. there is a green wire coming out of dryer what do I do with this? I know to attach the green wire on cord to the washer body

Trace it back to where it goes.
If it attaches to the frame then either:
Remove it and attach the green from the cord to the machine where the old green machine wire was attached.
OR
Use a wire nut and attach the green from the cord to the green from the machine.
