I have a Whirlpool LGR8648LW0 dryer. The burner ignites but will only stay running for about 2-3 minutes (enough to get the clothes hot), but then clicks off. Everything else seems to be working fine.

I have jumped the thermal fuse and the heat sensors. Unit ignites, heats up, runs for about 2-3 mins, then clicks off. Any advice?

What you need to do is replace the coils on the gas valve. Your secondary coil is bad, and that will do the trick. It is a cheap and easy repair. Tom Appliance Educator, Appliance Parts, Washer and Dryer Parts, Refridgerator and Freezer Parts, Stove and Oven Parts
