Water from door dispenser has small white particles even after replacing the water filter - yet the ice does not have those particles????
Please help - does the water reservoir need replacing? Do they go bad?
If so - where is it located and how is it removed?

Yes they can go bad. Some of the tank reservoirs are replaced with a coil of tubing. The reservoir is located behind a panel behind the crisper in the fridge.
Find your model number for diagrams and parts.

Thanks for the note about the water tank or coil replacement.
Would that be the only source for the white particles or should i also look at something else in the refrigerator?

Entered Maytag and modell number MSD2454GRQ in the parts section.
Could not find the replacement part for the water tank or coil on the site.
Can anyone direct me to the correct place?
Thanks so much for your attention.

Found the part - tank and hoses.
QUESTION - noticed another commment that it just might be the hose causing the flaking - Is that the case or is it the tank that is flaking?
thanks for your help

I took out the compressor and it does rattle. Do I need to replace the compressor or should I troubleshot some more. The compressor is 262.00 to replace. Could that be the only issue? Thank you.
