The spray arm and impeller just lift out during a cycle.The gasket is gone and I am wondering if that assembly is just a push in and turn?

You are missing the retaining nut that holds the spray arm down.

richappy, the spray arm has the nut on it and it is attached to the impeller,but both those can be lifted off.

The pump cover is stripped out and needs to be replaced.
