Dryer is only year and a half old and it wont start. Light inside is fine and that's all. Can't select program, no beeping...Nothing. I ordered new electronic board but that's not the problem. Please HELP!

The first thing I would do is check the door switch.

Even the light inside the dryer is fine, the switch has to be checked for continuity because it switches power between the inner light and the controls and this part of the switch can be bad.

When the door is open there suppose to be continuity between the terminals where the white and brown wires are connected. When the door switch is depressed there suppose to be continuity between the terminals where the white and blue wires are connected. The wire harness plug for the switch has to be disconnected during the test.

- The part number for the door switch is AP3132865

I followed the instructions and checked the door switch but the problem is somewhere else. What is the next step? Thanks for your help.

Perform the troubleshooting test #1 as described in the Tech Sheets (page 4).

If this dude is open then the dryer will not runRCA_Whirlpool_EKV11CWR0_relay.jpegLocated on the rear of the dryer in the exhaust area, it monitors excessive heat levels due to blocked venting and lint buildup.a dryer element.jpg
