MODEL # DBXR463EG0WW: orginal prob. was the start knob broke so the switch fell into the backsplash, so he went fishing with a screwdriver and shorted the switch. Got new switch at AP Wagner, installed it and still does not start. followed wires and one went to what looks like a fuse or relay not sure if this is the next replacement we need to get. Any feed back will be apprecieated.

You are going to need a multi meter to check continuity in the wiring and fuses to see where you have the problem. This can be difficult, but see if there is a wiring diagram in the console and start tracing from the power source.
