All of sudden the freezer has stopped working. I turned it up to the coldest setting and still it is not cold. It makes a humming sound for a few seconds, clicks and then turns off. This keeps repeating every few minutes. Any ideas if there is a way to fix this? thank you.

Sounds like the compressor's start relay.
Part number: AP4013414
Part number: AP4013414

You could check the motor windings with a meter to see if either winding is burned out. If both OK it does not eliminate the compressor as the cause as it may have mechanical problems. But if one is open the compressor is toast.

You could remove the start relay from the compressor and shake it. If it rattles then replace it.
OR
Since it is relatively inexpensive just replace it and see if it fixes the problem.
If not then you probably need a new compressor. Often due to the cost of this repair you are better off buying a new unit.
