I have a KitchenAid (Whirlpool) KSRG25FKSS15 Stainless fridge. It recently stopped cooling adequately. The freezer doesn't chill below 38*F and the fridge side is warmer than it should be as well.

I notice a clicking sound. It clicks twice about 4 seconds apart every 30 seconds or so. It seems to start the compressor during those 4 seconds and the second click shuts it off (to my untrained ear that is).

Also, the control box atop the fridge side seems to have a loose connection as the top bulb and the LED control lights will go out until I bang on the box. Then they will light and sometimes go back out.

Any ideas what could be wrong (what parts I should check & get)? The warranty is vague as to what would be covered but this came with my house. The unit was manufactured in Feb of 2004.

Thanks for any advice! I don't want to buy a new fridge.
