Does anyone know which direction the evaporator fan motor is supposed to turn? Just replaced burnt up motor and noticed that the shading poles on old motor are on opposite corners. Fan is turning ccw on new motor, while looking in the freezer. It seems to be drawing air towards the back. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Matt

Sometimes the motor can be taken apart and the armature reversed. If this is not possible, you have the wrong motor.
The fan blade must turn in the direction that cups the air and blows it away from the motor.

If it blows air away from motor, it would be blowing it away from coils and into the back cover on the refrigerator. Is that right? Or is it supposed to blow air across the coils in to the holes for the refrigerator compartment? Thanks, Matt

To make it turn the right direction look at your old motor. Compare it to the new one. Get the copper on the new motor mounted on the same side as the old motor and it will turn the correct direction. This means taking apart the new motor and reversing the stack. By the way on whichever side the copper is on the motor always turns the opposite way from it.
