Customer says ice maker will not shut off and keeps making ice. Ice maker is part # WR29X10093 with the sliding plastic shut off arm.
Is this a common problem with this ice maker as ice maker has been replaced before. Any comments, please.

Richhappy, I think the part# should be WR30x10093...Anyway, is the cust complaining about it making too much ice and pushing up on the shelf abouve the bucket? Look at where the paddle of the icemaker is compared to the top of the icebucket. there is about 2 inches, maybe less, of a gap between the top of the bucket and the paddle. What we do in the field to correct this issue is to take the paddle off the icemaker, get a heat gun and heat the paddle so you can create a bend downward on the paddle. You want that paddle to be even with the top of the bucket, so it shuts off when the bucket is full. Let me look for a pic of what I'm talking about.

Richhappy, do you have an e-mail I can send you the file, keep the copy to yourself and don't send it around, as it is not for public disclosure.
