I have a GE Heavy Duty DHDSR46EE1WW electric dryer. I recently had a few runs where the dryer heats & dry just fine, but the timer does not move. I replaced the timer! The same problem is still happening, but not all the time. It works fine in the "timed" section of the timer, but not always in the other two timer sections. I have noticed it normally does this when it is started at it's longest run point. If I start the timer in the middle of the run length is does just fine. This could have been happening with the other timer, but I assumed the timer was the problem and replaced before I checked that out.

Is this a thermastat problem??

It's hard to say exactly why it's doing that without the wiring diagram for this specific model. If you do have it and can post it the forum, it will definitely help us to help you.
