yesterday my frigdge made a noticable electrical arc noise followed by a odor of burned wires? or motor?; the fridge then started leaking water from the icemaker water line, I shut the water supply down in the basement; my freezer stopped working; fridge is still cold. Any recommendation on what burned out? compressor? any idea what it would cost to repair? The side by side is approx. 7 - 8 years old. Is it time to buy a new one? thanks much! :)

I would unplug the fridg, and remove the back panel. Look for water damage to electrical wires and connectors. If the area is wet, I would put a portable fan on it till it dries out, then fix any burnt wires.
