My washer started the cycle by agitating instead of filling with water. The water also starts but not to fill. I was thinking it was the timer or the electronic control. Does anyone have any ideas? One cycle seems to work correctly, the delicate cycle.

Shengnes,

You most likely have a bad electronic control.

But check for a loose connection at the control and the wire harness down to the flow meter at the fill valve.

If the wiring is OK, replace the electronic control board, mounted on the timer.

I replaced the Electronic Control and it is still starting by agitating. Could it be the timer?

Shengnes,

Your timer, is the least likeliest of your problem.

Did you check the flow meter and hoses as I reccomended ?

Was the clear plastic tube to the right rear side of the tub OK ?

If all checked OK, this is the part to replace,

Well I took it all apart and unplugged and replugged everything and shook all the hoses. The hose was on the right side of the tub. and when I put it all together again and started it back up it does seem to work. It must have been one of the connections. I'm running the first load since and seems to be going well. Thanks!!

Great,

Hopefully, it was just a loose connection.

If the problem returns, do the same checks you've done ,and replace the switch assembly.

Good Luck,
