Called sears home services, and the repairman called me and told me I am wasting my time and his and to just buy a new dryer. He told me it will be atleast 700 to fix it and he never diagnosed the true issue. It's only 4 years old. Any thoughts? Advice?

If there is an electrical failure you may have hidden damage so that even if you fix the main problem a secondary problem may doom the machine. I suggest you purchase a nice basic no frills machine, which in my opinion will give you just as good service as the more expensive machine that you have.
