I have this older Whirlpool fridge. It is a perfectly good unit. I bought it new 14 years ago BUT my problem is the refridgerator side door is not closing properly. When compared to the freezer door (its a side by side), the fridge door is not level with the freezer. The door appears to be sagging down about 1/2 to 1 inch when compared to the freezer door. Do I need spacers? I can raise the door up (manually)to make it level but it drops right back down when I close it. Can it be repaired? I realize its old but would expect more of a "hard" failure to take a whole unit out of service. Please help if you can. We've come home to an open door several times. Also, the gasket across the bottom of the door is split. Can it be replaced?\\thanks in advance!

The gasket magnetic strip must mate with the metal trim fully for it to pull the door closed properly. Pull the door off and check for a broken, missing bottom hinge plastic cam. Click on your model # above to get the part #. Either that or you can shim the door up with a metal washer in the door hinge.
You can order a new door gasket from this site also.
