I've got a 4 year old Whirlpool washer that is getting stuck mid cycle and cannot be "manually" forwarded. It fills and agitates, but stops when it gets to the drain part of the cycle.

I got it to drain ONCE by turning the knob to this part of the cycle, but could not repeat this. When I find this part of the cycle on the knob now, I hear a buzzing noise coming from the knob as if it's trying to move to the drain portion but not able to.

I appreciate any advice or suggestion on how to further investigate this. I'm sure it's something I can fix myself -- the washer hasn't got a ton of use, and it's hard to believe it's "crapped out" this early!

Thanks in advance to anyone with suggestions/tips!

The following numbers are all listed on the underside of the lid:

SM: 8280869
MOD: LXR6432JQ1
SER: CL 4126407
TYPE: 107
Part No.: 3953976

Not sure which one to go buy when looking for a new part. Hope this helps, and appreciate anything you can tell me!

I found these drawings that look to be for the washer I have, but don't have the slightest idea where to start!
