I came home today to a very HOT dishwasher. The cycle ended around 8:30 a.m. and the heat element was still on at 6:45 p.m. The Clean light was on the display panel. I had to reset the breaker to turn the heat off.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm surprised that you still have a dishwasher if the heating element stayed on that long, they like to melt when this happens. Your board is most likely bad.
