A coin is stuck under the agitator and making a lot of noise. I removed the cap on the top of the agitator which exposed a nut. If I remove this nut, will the agitator simply pull up and off. Any tricks or pitfalls to anticipate. Does the agitator simply slide back on?

Thanks

Using a ratchet with a 7/16" socket and a 12" extension, remove the hex head bolt from the agitator, then lift the top half of the agitator out of the washer.

Pull the bottom half of the agitator straight up and off the drive motor shaft and remove it.

Gene.
