Front load Washer is not functioning properly. When I press start the start led will just flash. I can hit start again, it locks the door and tries to start but within a few seconds, sometimes as long as 30 seconds, it will stop. The door will unlock and the start led will flash again. If I put pressure on the door with my knee or hand I can prolong the running process for a few more seconds but inevitably it does the same thing. It will do this on all cycles. I got the error code "code 6" but I can't find any info on what this code means in the manual it skips code 6. I'm fairly mechanical and can repair most things with proper instruction.

Well congrats on your purchase of a nice Frigidaire washer. You see, GE put their label on this Frigidaire made machine but that label is about the only thing GE about it. See if this Frigidaire manual will help. You have the "good" version. Error codes are generated by the flashing lights http://frigidaireservicetips.co...rizontalAxisWasherSM.pdf

I actually had that manual from another thread I searched. Didn't know if it was the same because the models and the size were different. Thank you.
I followed the diagnostic procedure and could not get any of the knob turns to produce the desired result all I could get was a quiet flash of the start light 3 times then a beeping flash of the start and the cluster above the pause cancel button 11 times, in each of the 9 positions. deciphering the code I came up with is EB3 which if the test fails then I'm supposed to replace the control board. Does that sound about right?
The code 6. I got was obtained by holding the start and pause cancel button at the same time. Still no reference to what that means unless is it's an insider tech only code.
I cleaned out the pump ( pump was clean but there were bobby pins and a dollars worth of change in it the trap.)

I would go with chaning out the board. If you buy from this site and it does not fix the problem you can return it, see the returns policy.
