Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 9/16/2010(UTC) Posts: 1		I have a whirpool gas dryer which heats up and runs for approx 5-10 mins and just shuts itself off. I have cleaned all lint as well as vent pipe etc. I thought it may be clogged and overheating. I shut off gas and ran it cold with the same result. It just runs like normal and shuts off. After it shuts off i must let it sit for awhile and it will ru n again and shut off. any ideas?? Thank you, john

Thank you, john My best guess, Without a model number would be, The Motor overload switch is overheating and openning, Causing the motor to stop running, You won't be able to start the machine until the switch cools down and closes, then it will run until the switch opens again. That's the best I can do, with what you gave me. :cool: :cool: :cool:
